Reiki

Reiki is a spiritual healing art. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word Rei which means “Universal Life” and Ki which means “energy.” Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work. Reiki is the life energy force that flows through all living things. Reiki practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect to their own healing energy and to use it to strengthen energy in themselves. It is believed that a person’s Ki or energy should be free and strong flowing. When this is true a person’s mind and body is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to physical symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance. Reiki energies flow where they are supposed to. Reiki is a smart energy that automatically flows where the imbalances are in your body regardless of where the practitioner’s hands are placed. A reiki session can help ease tension and stress thus helping the body to facilitate an environment to healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. A session is pleasant, relaxing, and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness. Reiki is a great tool for stress reduction and relaxation. Many people use reiki for wellness. It is not a cure for disease or illness, but it may assist the body in creating an environment to facilitate healing. It should be used to complement traditional medicine. During an in-person session the practitioner will either hover above your body with his/her hands or lightly touch you in order to guide your energy through any blockages you may have. You will have the added benefit of the infusion of vibrational crystalline healing guided by practitioners’ intuitive wisdom. You will be fully clothed (you should wear comfortable loose fitting clothes). The in-person session usually takes place on a massage table. There will be music playing along with essential oils being used in a diffuser. If you have an issue with any of these elements, please inform me prior to your session.
